Abstract

MXene/ZnO nanocomposite and ZnO nanoparticles were produced by hydrothermal treatment in aqueous medium at 180 oC for 24 h. The MXene0.30/ZnO nanocomposite was prepared in ZnO matrix. The SEM-EDX analysis showed that the ZnO nanoparticles has an hexagonal wurtzite structure. MXene0.30/ZnO nanocomposite was characterized by FT-IR and SEM techniques. The photonic behavior of the MXene0.30/ZnO nanocomposite were investigated under various illuminations such as 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 mW/cm2. The photocurrent of the device were measured under various voltages and it was observed that the photocurrent increased with increasing voltage. Furthermore, the devices show excellent optoelectronic characteristics in the photoconductive and photovoltaic modes.
