JOURNAL OF MATERIALS  AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Publication Ethics Policy

The Journal of Materials and Electronic Devices (JMED) is dedicated to preserving the integrity, credibility, and transparency of scholarly communication. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must represent original scientific work. Submissions that involve plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated results, or unethical research practices are not accepted under any circumstances.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The work has not been published previously and is not under evaluation elsewhere.
  • All contributors who meet authorship criteria are appropriately acknowledged.
  • Citations accurately reflect the intellectual contributions of prior studies.

Editors evaluate submissions solely on scientific merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and clarity of presentation. Editorial decisions are independent and free from commercial or personal influence.

Reviewers are expected to conduct evaluations objectively, maintain confidentiality, and provide constructive feedback that contributes to the scientific quality of the manuscript.

Publication Malpractice Policy

The Journal of Materials and Electronic Devices (JMED) maintains a strict stance against any form of publication misconduct.

Practices considered unethical include, but are not limited to:

  • Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal
  • Misrepresentation or alteration of research data
  • Improper assignment of authorship
  • Deliberate manipulation of citations

When potential misconduct is identified, the editorial team initiates a structured investigation. Depending on the outcome, actions may include manuscript rejection, correction, retraction, or notification of relevant institutions.

The journal reserves the right to take necessary measures to protect the integrity of the scientific record.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Transparency regarding competing interests is essential for maintaining trust in scholarly publishing.

All authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal circumstances that could influence the interpretation of their research. This declaration must be included at the time of submission.

If no competing interests exist, authors are required to explicitly state that there are none.

Editors and reviewers are obligated to withdraw from the evaluation process if a potential conflict could compromise impartial judgment.

Data Availability Policy

The Journal of Materials and Electronic Devices (JMED) supports responsible data sharing as a means of enhancing reproducibility and scientific progress.

Authors are encouraged to describe how the data supporting their findings can be accessed. Data may be:

  • Deposited in recognized repositories,
  • Provided as supplementary material, or
  • Made available upon reasonable request.

If data cannot be shared due to legal, ethical, or confidentiality constraints, authors must clearly explain these limitations within the manuscript.

Each submission must include a Data Availability Statement outlining the status of the underlying research data.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy

The Journal of Materials and Electronic Devices (JMED) acknowledges the growing role of artificial intelligence tools in academic workflows and defines clear boundaries for their responsible use.

AI-based tools may be utilized only as supportive instruments, such as for language refinement or formatting assistance. The intellectual responsibility for the manuscript remains entirely with the authors.

AI systems:

  • Cannot be credited as authors,
  • Must not generate or interpret scientific results independently,
  • Must not be used to create undisclosed synthetic data, figures, or analyses.
